About LinkBacksSomeone asked me if he can go to any apple store to change his old iPad 1 to iPad 2 or 3 and pay some cash so as to meet up with the exact price. So I want to know if apple does that or not or do one have to buy a new one fully?

You would have to buy a new one outright but you could sell your iPad 1 to help with funding the purchase.

Right. They don't take trades or a offer any credit for used gear.
