    Continuous "on"

Will I compromise the integrity of my iPad if I use it as a clock at night by keeping it in charging mode?

I am not sure what you mean by the "integrity of the iPad", but leaving your iPad on overnight in charging mode won't do anything bad. Also, Hello, and welcome to the forum!

I doubt it, else why would apple have created the new improved alarm in iOS6,
I use my ipad as my alarm everyday and nothing happened yet, but use your phone instead if you're concerned

I think what the OP is concerned about (I could be wrong) is that if you have an app such as Nightstand and you want to have your screen on all night to display the time. I have wondered this same thing. I don't know what the "life span" is of the iPad display but I would imagine it is not something to be greatly concerned about. Also, I haven't read much about screen burn on the iPad but that is another concern for some.

I found this from last year ipad screen life, So it would seem unless you plan on doing this for the next 5-6 years it should be ok.

I use an app called "My Clock" which I leave on all night. Once the app is running you can dim the screen by swiping down so it is not too bright. Swipe up and it brightens. It is a very simple app and hasn't let me down yet

The iHandy alarm clock does the same, or you can it the iPad to sleep and the alarm will still work.
