I use IM+ for my messaging but once I leave the app, I do not get alerts as I should. I have checked all my settings and they seem OK but I am obviously missing something. Does Beejive gives alerts? Advice please!

You should have been prompted for push alerts and from to time! See a message stating that push up has timed out.

Go under Settings, Notifications and make sure it's set to "On". You should also see IM+ in this section below, make sure the settings you want on are on.
