    Home button doesn't respond

    I purchased an Ipad 2 after having the the Ipad 1.
    Right out of the box the home button on the Ipad 2 didn't want to respond.
    I have updated software and restored with some success but still having issues.

    Anyone else?

    Settings/General/accessibility/assistive touch/on

    This will create a virtual home button on your screen until you get your iPad replaced. Your complaint sounds like a hardware issue for sure.
    Background apps are hiding for good reason. Seek them out, close them. The world will be a better place.
