I'm going to sell my iPad 1st generation and would like to know if I should remove the SIM card or leave the thing in there.
Any body have thoughts on this?

It makes no sense to leave it. It's your card.
Sent from my White iPad 4.
It would be better for the new owner if you left the SIM card in. They will need a SIM card if they wish to use the 3G.
I suggest leaving it in - but make sure you cancel the account that it's activated with. That way, they can't use your money to use the 3G and will have to set up their own account.
So, unless you need it for some reason. I'd suggest the SIM card go with the iPad1.

Contact your network provider they should send you another free sim card on pay as you go which you can include with the sale. Or do a search for free micro sim O2 regularly give them away or free. I did this and got a cool phone number which ends in 13 666 13 I'm using it now but people are always trying to buy my sim off me - not bad for a free sim card![]()
Well there you go. I'm officially just as confused as I was before I asked the question.
C'mon folks, I need a tie breaker.
Why? Do you need the sim card? People can't help you if your don't give them any info? I think you already got some good answersOriginally Posted by jimt29
