i have a 16GB wifi ipad and the auto brightness does not seem to work?
no matter where i set it if i switch it to auto the screen remains at the same brightness?
noticed it yesterday when i took it outside and it didnt bring the screen brightness up so i couldnt see a thing outside so i had to put it to max manually.

anyone else notice this?

Nope, I have 64G and I have never had a problem like this..humm good luck

Probably better to shut off auto-brightness anyway since it seems to cause more problems than it solves!

The lite sensor is on the opposite side of the home button,so be sure it is not covered.

I turn off auto brightness...I believe it drains the battery just slightly for me...

Mine works fine, but I keep it off. I don't like the way it sets it, I would rather do it myself....
