switching between goodreader and a good writing pad

    Hi,

I use goodreader for reading scientific papers in pdf format. I frequently need to copy some math equations from the pdf file, copy it to some writing pad and make some derivations/calculations on the pad. What I need are the following:
1-A good writing pad program and a good stylus that I can work with math equations on, preferably math equations that are copy and pasted from Goodreader
2-Capability of going back and forth between Goodreader and the writing pad. Even better if I can view them in split screen.

I was wondering what your recommendation is for the writing pad program and the stylus.

    Thanks

My suspicion is that you will be disappointed in the iPad (and other capacitive screen devices) as a tool for writing with a stylus. I use it this way for quick notes (marginally adequate) but for nothing having great detail. This is the one area I miss my old windows phone.

I don't believe split screen is an option for iPad.

Back-and-forth is pretty easy, in my mind. Four-finger swipe up, and choose the other app.

Also, note that this forum has a section about iPad accessories. I believe you will find a lot about stylii (styluses?)

I will definitely want to check out desktop. I will be curious to see if one can run two instances of the same app....

Update: the app "desktop" appears to offer the capability to show two apps simultaneously, but the apps available for such viewing are quite limited. It does not appear to offer the ability to display ANY two apps simulateneously.

I assume that you are talking about the adonit jot. The pro version appears different only in that it incorporates a magent, apparently intended as an method of attachment to an iPad.
