    iPad to PC

    Can I attach my ipad to my computer using the power charger, ie. take the usb cable out of the electric plug and plug it into my computer?

    Indeed you can. In fact, that is the purpose of that cord, besides charging.

    I do it all the time. I just am unable to get the IPAD to charge with the USB connection.

    That's common. The USB port on your computer does not provide sufficient power to charge the iPad.
