Welcome to ipf,
> is this to make a status updates, checkin or uploada photo? If so click the three horizontal lines in the top left corner. Click news feed, and there are three buttons now on the main screen. If you click status, you can update you status, etc...

How about being able to copy and paste a quote that some one posted on the Newsfeed? and then adding to your own profile, same as for picture how do you that??
:-)
Same issue here. Can't take a posted link and share it on someone else's wall, on yours, or in a private message. Seems to be an issue with the app only. Very frustrating when trying to share an event or link w friends
No you cannot copy and paste from the Facebook app, you can open FB in Safari and do it from there though.

Does anyone have an answer/solution to the missing share button in the Facebook app on the iPad2? VERY frustrating.
Hi Chays, can you perhaps help - I cannot seem to locate the share button on the FB App on my ipad2 ?
Yes I've looked everywhere and there doesn't seem to be one at all. The best thing you can do here is send an email to the Developer and ask for one. If enough of us do this, they may just listen and provide one.
On FB in Safari there is a share button but it doesn't seem to be on every post, sorry don't know why, although it may be more about where the info has originated.

I HATE using an iPad to access Facebook as many of the normal functions available using a desktop or laptop computer are missing, difficult, or useless. A few examples. 1) Unliking a page. Normally, using a desktop or laptop computer, if you no longer want someone (person, group or business) posting crap to your wall, you simply click on their thumbnail to jump to their page, scroll down slightly, and click the Unlike button on the left. This button does not exist when using an iPad. O joy. 2) Deleting a comment, photo, or spam posted to your wall. Using a normal computer, you simply click on the red x to the right of the comment. Not so using an iPad. Supposedly, if you swipe to the left once or twice, a red Delete button magically appears that you can click. I would't know: I've left-swiped 'till my fingers were numb, and not a damn thing has ever happened. 3) Reporting a comment, photo, or spam. Getting unsolicited offensive or obscene material posted to your wall that you want removed pronto? No problem if you are using a desktop or laptop computer. Merely click the Report button, and choose from the drop down selection what the specific issue us, from Hate to Porno to Abuse, and Facebook is immediately advised. Easy peasy. Major problem if you are using an iPad. There is no Report button to click. Therefore no drop down menu. Meaning Facebook will be advised when hell freezes over. So that stuff will remain permanently emblazoned on your wall and Timeline for all to see. Makes for fun times at the office and family gatherings. Not. Facebook's response to these and other issues is to suggest logging in using a regular computer instead. Which makes using an iPad useless. My review of this nightmare is as follows: Facebook + iPad = FAIL!!
