It is actually pretty simple. Just get a browser such as iCab (My favorite) , or Atomic. They have browser id settings you can change, making it look as if you are using a different browser.

You can also block popups in Settings > Safari. Though that won't prevent all forms of advertising windows. Those ad designers are pretty sneaky.
