Does anyone know how to copy an event on the calendar and paste it to a different day?

But you can edit it and spin the dial to a new day.

Or make it repeat if the span isn't too wide and delete the ones you don't want.

I've always hated that we canr copy events. Seems really dumb to me.

Just got my iPad yesterday. Finally!

I have a ton of events that repeat from 2 to 7 days. Not being able to repeat these entries is seriously dumb.

I agree, this is really annoying. I work irregular shifts and would like to be able to quickly drop them into my iPad calendar so I can plan my month without being dependent on paper diaries and calendars. You can copy-and-paste like this in Outlook. In the new iOS5 calendar you can move events within the month view by dragging them, but not copy them.

There is a repeat in the calendar.

The repeat function only allows you to duplicate regular events, it does not allow you to copy irregular events to selected days across the month.

You could look at some alternative apps like SmartPad and Pocket Informant, I have both and they are highly configurable with good support from the devs.
