So I bought the component out setup for the pad with the intention of using it mainly for movies and photos. However I was very upset to find out that you cannot manually swipe through pictures on the pad and have them on the TV, all it seems you can do is run an automated slide show.

now tonight on TV I saw a commercial where it appears that you can do exactly what I want to, have the TV display reflect exactly what is on the pad, as you swipe through pictures on the pad they swipe accross the screen. How did they accomplish this ?

Are you using the HDMI connector?

Apple tv might be your friend.

I don't think you can always see the OP's signature in the iPF app.

and doesn't displayout(in cydia) work?
maybe i check when i get a chance, but i only have the hdmi AV adapter..

Just use a HDMI cable. I've streamed my movies from my ipad to my 60" tv. However the only downside is that the ipad 2 can only play up to 720p quality. Other than that it works great.
