This is so true and has struck a chord with me today.

My daughter has her last day at University today and will be graduating with a Masters Degree in Architecture after 6 long years. Woohoo!

Her designs have always been works of art to me!

You are correct in my opinion. As you've noticed, there are many mediums used here--computer software to create art, watercolor, etc. Built items are just another medium.

She's been going round the clock the last week alone and surviving on naps trying to get it all done!
