Just got an ihome ia100, found it does not charge either my ipod, or ipad, yet it is meant to, bought it as a good docking station, rather then using my ipad charger, but the ia100 is faulty out of the box, the remote also does work, yet the battery is full, checked battery condition with multimeter.

Does these have problems out of the box? It meant to be a docking station, yet fails to charge, so is useless to me as it is, but nice sound.

I just opened mine and realized it does not charge either...did you find a solution?

I had the same issue with this item. Took it back to Walmart. Logitech do some models which not only charge properly, but sound better too.
