Is my ipad just a oversize iPhone? I have a iPhone, iMac, and MacBook and I am second guessing if my iPad is a benefit to me. Somebody remind me why I bought this device.

Actually, it's an oversized iPod..

I got my iPad specifically for mobile browsing. It's brutal trying to view web pages on a smartphone and the iPad is easier to carry around than a MacBook.. The MacBook Air comes close in portability, but it's still a bit awkward with the keyboard unfolded...

Because it has a bigger screen and keyboard than a phone, much easier to tote around than a desktop and better battery life than a laptop
Same reasons I got one.
