In the past few weeks the email function on my ipad1 stops working stating that it cannot contact the server. A full turn off and on sorts it. Is anyone else suffering in a similar way, is it a bug or is one of my servers really temperamental?

I used to have that problem with msn/hotmail. The servers worked when they felt like working. But a reboot didn't help.
I have gmail now.

I (used to) have a similar issue with hotmail. The problem occured when I had a pc running along with the iPad but would go away when the pc was shut down. So, I concluded that hotmail doesn't like when two different machines are trying to access the same mail account at the same time.

i have gmail hotmail yahoomail and my company mail setup in my ipad and never got any problem.

I pad is very useful invention for every one. I use ipad as well as I have gmail, yahoomail and hotmail in my i pad. Its run very nive. I don't have any problem in email on I pad. As well e mail is very useful in this busy life.
