If you sent a document through an email, how would you open it with Windows?

Would it open up on word?

I'm trying to figure out if I should buy this app for taking notes in class.

It depends on the file format that you save it in. You can save it as a PDF which you could open in Adobe Acrobat Readera, or you can save it as a Word file (.doc) and open it in Word, or you can save it as a Pages document. Other programs, like Open Office (the free version of Microsoft Office) can open multiple programs as well.

To put it in a short way, I think Pages would be worth it for what you'll be using it for
