I setup mobile me on both my ipod touch and my ipad2. Trouble is that it wont locate my iPad at all. I used my iPad to successfully locate the touch but it wont work the other way round. The itouc will find the itouch as well, howeverr the iPad wont find anything.. Any ideas?

Did you turn the location feature on in the account settings?
On the iPad.

Thanks and yes I did, however "Find my iPhone" is not listed as one of the programs in the attached list of apps that use this feature.

Settings - mail, calendars and contacts, is the find my iPhone mobile me account there?

Thanks for sticking it out with me. I do have that portion on as well. Her is what it says when i select the device during the search.

A red dot means it’s offline (turned off or not connected to a data network, such as EDGE, 3G, or Wi-Fi)

The Wifi is on and working fine so I'm stumped here.

Sorry, i have no idea to help you, but i really hope you could find your ipad as soon as possible.

Resolved.... Need 3G or it just looks for an Internet location close to where you last were. Will just have to try not to lose it. Think I will chain it to an elephant :-)
