Ok so I saw this thread when I was at work but can't seem to find it now. It was a thread about email sound alerts. The sound only occurs when I actually open the mail app, if I don't open it I will never know if I got an email or not. Is there a way I can get a sound alert as soon as i get the new email? I know there is a way how to do this somewhere in your settings.

In the general settings switch on the 'push' command.

What do I click on once in the gereral setting? I don't see a push command icon, I just went through the general setting sub menus and did not see an icon for 'push' command, can you alaborate?

Settings > Mail, contacts, calendars > Fetch new data > push. > on/off , select time interval, > Advanced > select acct. To fetch.
