    I thought that was for the military, they are big on knee boards.

    I am taking mine with me to Alaska in a couple weeks, I bought a set of portable Sony speakers, along with My UE superfi pro 5 earphones +60 or so movies

    My mobile entertainment center
    64GB 3G Ipad

    I think virtually all pilots find knee boards necessary, or at least useful. I never became a pilot but I used a kneeboard when I was taking flying lessons. There's a ton of information pilots have to process and keep track of, and the information constantly changes. And don't get me started on the checklists.

    I thought I saw a post on this forum from an airline pilot some time ago. I'd be interested to hear his thoughts.
