Can you post details of your wifi router and how it is set up? i.e. make, model, encryption settings?

I am an iPad noob but I ran into a "reverse" situation last weekend when I was at a hotel. My iPad connected right up to the hotel's wifi but my Laptop refused to identify the network. Kind of ironic I was using my iPad to troubleshoot my PC..lol After flushing the DNS and resetting TCP/IP I was able to connect with the laptop. If you haven't already, have you tried to reset your Network settings? That helped me when I first tried to get my iPad connected to my home network. I've been pleasantly surprised at how easily it connects to various wifi networks.
