About LinkBacksI have seen this with almost all ipads (1&2) that i have encountered that they are not as loud and bassy on HEADPHONES as iphone and ipod..dont know why Apple used a weaker amp in it...i use my fiio e5 amp with my ipad 2 which gives it lots of bass and loudness!

iPad isnt as loud as iphone or ipod touch..All ipads

my MB Pro and iPhone 4.
If my Irish Wolfhound doesn't like you neither will I.

Not really, but then my iPhone is the main music provider anyway!
IPad 3 32GB wifi, 2x iphone 4, iPhone 3GS 32GB , ipad 1 32GB ,2x iPod touch 2G, BT keyboard

I know what you are saying, maybe I didn't make myself clear enough, my iPhone is louder than the iPod touch but the iPad 1 I have seems to have a deeper tone but I still think there is no difference between iPhone and iPad for me. Except the difference in size makes it naturally sound different. I don't have iPad 2 so can't make comparisons with that.

'Settings', 'iPod', 'EQ' ->'On' and select what equalisation strategy you want. Maybe you have this set so that the bass is not boosted?

Lol..i know the equalizer thing..but i guess u need to have ipad 2 to check the difference..but i have heard ipad 1 As well and its the same..not as loud..Likr Hup said..anyway i have an external amp for it so no probs!
