My question is: hit the archive button by mistake and my email message disappeared. If I go to all email I will find it but is there an archive folder that I'm not seeing? Do I have to create one? But how?

My question is: hit the archive button by mistake and my email message disappeared. If I go to all email I will find it but is there an archive folder that I'm not seeing? Do I have to create one? But how?

Check this and see if this will help you,
Go to "Settings"
Click on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" on the left side of the page
Click on your Gmail account at the top of page in the middle
Simply change "Archive Messages" to "Off" or "On"
