If so, I want to know what you use it for even without Internet access. Can it be used as a daytimer?

I use it at work to take notes. At lunch time to read books, or browse the net. Throughout the day to track what I've eaten. At the gym to track my my workouts. When I get home sometime after dinner, I'll play some games, or read magazines or books before I handed it off to my daughter so that she can practice math, then she gets to watch shows on it (ABC), or listen to music.

The only time I leave it at home is on the weekends.

Yes, mine stays with me pretty much all day whether at home or work. I am an IT Consultant and I have put a lot of effort into making the iPad work for me as a laptop replacement (although as a programmer I do rely on a desktop for many tasks at work).
Combined with my Moleskine case / notepad combo, I find it an ideal companion for meetings or whenever I am not in my own office (which is about 60% of the time at work).

I can't imagine being without my iPad - I even have it by the side of my bed so that I can note down any brilliant ideas I have at night (OK - so not much battery usage there !)

We've had reports - yes, really - of members taking their iPads into the shower with them...

I have mine with me all the time, but I have wifi at work. I think I am going to grab a Verizon 4G hotspot tho...a friend of mine works for verizon and said he is getting 12-20 Mbps download rates on it...and he can get me a big discount on the service.

Yes my iPad goes everywhere I go. Never leave home without it!!

I haven't taken mine out of the house yet because my case hasn't arrived. I plan to take it to meetings, to school, and continue to veg out with it at home. It's quite versatile. If you're not in a wifi hotspot, you can catch up on some work, listen to music, play a game, or tether it to your phone for the interweb and email.

I have a blackberry too. If I start carrying my iPad everywhere, do you think I'm better with iPad and my blackberry or just sell my blackberry for an iPhone 4 and just carry that?

iPad plus iPhone overkill I'm guessing.

I use it all day. I take it everywhere.
I teach so I use it from time to time in the classroom. Ithoughts is my most used app here. I also use Documents To Go to record marks and attendance. Sometimes I use Keynote for PP Presentations.
During lunch I check certain social network sites and sports sites.
Living in Canada, I am always checking the weather. I also play some games when I get the chance mainly when I am going to bed.
When I am on the road, I am always checking sports site to listen or watch a game; cricket mainly.
BTW I have the 3g model.

Yes I have mine with me all day,for work:documents/memo's/notes/etc.Use my smartphone for making "calls",as my ipad is only wifi-yes I know how to do tethering,but far too busy in a work environment to bother-so much easier than carrying my Netbook around though.

Me and the ipad are now off to our favourite pub.
