A new interface that can support and connect to displays, FireWire devices, USB 2and 3, esata , hdmi all at the same time. Developed by intel however Apple is the first company to use it on their new MacBook pro computers. Already new hard drives are shipping with thunderbolt interface which screams on transfer. Fantastic for transferring movies big files etc. Hope that helps
Oh one more thing maybe it will be on the next generation ipad if they can make a smaller interface but who knows.Cheers Colin,
