    Also need to be aware that goodreaderusb will not work if Itunes is not installed on the pc.

    OK, Thanks. I guess I misunderstood. I thought I could use this on a computer without iTunes. The process I see in that thread says that the computer has to have iTunes loaded on it. I want this for a separate computer (that I can't put iTunes on because it is #6).

    Yes it's a real downer


    Regarding the version of Itunes, I'm afraid I don't know, as I installed the latest version and haven't tried earlier versions.

    no there isn't. i just deleted all of my apps on my iPad when i connected it to a new computer 2 days ago.
    i had no warning, all i got was emptied iPad.

    You can have only 5 authorized computers for each iTunes account. As many idevices as you want, but only 5 computers.

    Aargh! Here I was thinking that any computer I want to do the GoodReaderUSB thing with just needs to have iTunes installed on it. But now you're telling me that they have to be authorized?

    I think I need to go back and read that original thread in its entirety.
