The best way to tell her you bought one is to bring her her own also.
But maybe she isn't very tech oriented. My husband isn't, although I had him play with mine and he likes it but he doesn't want one for himself.
"I'm home *****...come see what daddy just bought. [smack hand] Don't touch it, it's MINE!"
My wife has a 14" iBook that will not last forever. It is our only computer that cannot run Snow Leopard. My thinking is that after using the iPad for a while, I may replace her iBook with an iPad. If she does not like it, we'll go to a MacBook Pro.

Lol. Is there a waterfall app, make it a soothing background would be better. This one is relaxing...-_-zzzzzz..
My wife just happened to watch Steve's presentation while I was watching it........."this is awesome, get one for me, will you....."
Now I'm saving for two of them.......
Most likely written on my iPad
My wife is a Family Doc - and she's been watching me through this whole iPad experience (still don't have mine - waiting for 3G). She came to me last night wanting me to update her ePocrates databases on her 4 year old Palm Treo. I showed her my new case (all I have to brag about) and she said "I doubt the iPad will do me any good". I bet the first time I install ePocrates and some Doc software on my iPad and show her - I'll have to fight her to get it back ;o) We've got a good friend who is a Psychologist and we placed our orders together. She's already figured out a half dozen ways to use it in her practice.
awesome! a little massage oil, some Enigma playing in the background, some expensive wine.......
Heck, after all that, you could go and buy a 27" IMAC for every room in the house and get no grief.
Rockin' the 64GB Big Dog,
at least until the 3G's break out
