Does anyone know how to get safari and the app store back on your iPad after they have been deleted?

I dont think you can delete these preinstalled apps.

Safari and the AppStore Apps are two of twelve apps that cannot be deleted. They can be moved, however. So when you were navigating around your home screen you have moved them to another page? Apps can be moved when you press down on the app and it starts to wiggle. All apps will start shaking. If you installed apps these will have an 'x' on them, press on the 'x' and you will eliminate it. However, for the apps that are preinstalled you won't have this 'x'.

They may be on the next page. Swipe across your home screen, right to left, and you'll move to the next page. Hope you find your 'missing' apps.

i can confirmed that preinstalled apps can be moved. i already hide some of it in the folders.

I haven't installed the pre-release os like jOyful, so my apps aren't organized into folders. I can't wait to get it cause I hate cluttered home pages. Here is a picture of my arrangement. For the benefit of the original poster, you will see the difference between preinstalled, un deletable apps and the apps I installed.



By the way, ten of the twelve apps are missing from this view. Can you tell which two are missing?

Jealousy alert!

I too move the pre-installed apps - I've got the ones I don't want on the last page. That way I don't have to look at them...

I'm just w.a.i.t.i.n.g for 4.2 so that I too can hide stuff in folders. So, I'm jealous of you developers and other brave souls who've put the Beta on your iPads. Folders! I want folders!
