iTunes is annoying to the core. The password thing is just one of the more annoying things about it.
What would be more annoying... asking for your password every time or someone downloading the BarApp (a study guide for studying for the bar exam in every state) to you iPad? Oh by the way, the app cost $1000.00!
I hear you. I was just posting this cause sometimes it asks me when I'm not in iTunes but I definitely agree. It's good to ask before buying something!
Having to carry keys for your car and home is definitely more annoying. Especially a 150$ plastic car key...
In iTunes and the app Store I tend to group my purchases in the same spree. I hate a $0.99 bill...

I'm not sure that's the one annoying thing about iTunes. Adding songs to playlists is a chore (THE SEARCH FIELD IS THERE!! WHY can't I USE IT?!?) I use ratings a lot for the sake of smart playlists and they're buried a little deep. Speaking of smart playlists...
But yes, it'd be nice if there was a check box in the settings that allowed the app to cache your password. Especially for updates and free downloads.
