Before I take the leap of faith into getting me an iPad, I need to know if I can read PDF documents, highlight text and make notes to it.
I have to read tons of stuff on a daily basis.
Does anyone know if I can do this with an iPad?
Cheers

Yes, there are several ways to to the task's u mentioned just as larfor wrote, and Im sure that u will find more use of the iPad the longer u have one, new applications arrives everyday with better or new features that's make our iPad purpose easier or take It a step further (sometimes backward), so u should get one If money not's an Issue and Im also sure that u will find It verry usefull and fun, and get the "G" model, better to have the 3G and not use It then wanting It and not be able to use It.

Appleway or the Highway or Jailbreak ?
Second that, get the 3g model. When you need it it's there.
Once you have one you wonder how you managed to live without it.
