I bought my 3g ipad in london, live in Hungary. Today I bought a Vodafome prepay 1gig simcard, cut it down to size, inserted it. The ipad recognises it, shows up the correct phone number in 'about' shows Vodafone 3g on the top left, but, when i try to connect to the net i get the message "you are not subscribed to a cellular data service". I have tried with 2 seperate sims, same result. I have put in the vodafone data in the APN settings. Vodafone insist the cards are properly registered, and thoughts please? many thanks

Hi , maybe you have to register your card in your local Vodafone network …. here in Singapore is the same we should register the card before use it

You could try resetting the iPad through the settings menu, not using the buttons. I had this with Orange and a reset sorted it.

Vodafone have confirmed it is registered, and I did a restart, thanks for the suggestions though
