After having just downloaded/installed the latest version of iTunes, I have also just syc'd the iPad and the iPhone. The date of the last backup did not change from 15 months ago for either pad or phone. I did a "manual backup" twice and that date still says "Date of last backup - 10/10/2011." Anyone notice the same thing and have an explanation?

I don't know if a backup was actually made. And I know I have sync'd and backed up more recently than the date shown.
