    So treated my self to a new iPad off eBay because a was working as a christmas temp now jobless a was trying to save a few £$£$ and brought this iPad (4th generation) - anyway a was looking at the reviews a seen some folk where saying their imports but surly their 100 the same just the plug will need changed or I can use my iphone 5 plug

    You can use the same USB cord for the 4th generation iPad as you use for the iPhone 5. However, you should use an iPad charger with it. The charger provided for the iPhone 5 does not have enough "ooomph" to charge the iPad as fast as it would using an iPad charger.

    You will need the 12W to charge your iPad. The 5W is good for pods and minis.

    The first one is a 12 watt adaptor designed for the iPad 4, but useable on the other iPads and iPhone. The second is a 5 watt adaptor that will charge your iPhone just fine but will take quite a long time to charge an iPad.
