You'd actually make a loss in making cacao powder. You'll get more by just selling the cacao beans.

Still, highly recommended if one has time for 15 min items. Sombrero and Bakery are the best premium industrial buildings ever. Must have, period.
I would also recommend the food plant items as a good money-making strategy for the people who live in Realville. Especially cakes.
I mourn the loss of cottage cheese.

Indeed - and what I point out here is that the item you can produce in 10 minutes is more profitable, than what you produce in 1 hour. But you do not have to do it every 10 minutes - it is still way better to make a muffin than a cookie.....

Level 58 - looking for tools, mainly hammers. Preparing an assault at the Hydro Plant, but need to jear good news on the rulers first

Yep - which is also the case for products made in the electronics factory. Wich again proves my old point about value-add!

Don't have the electronics factory yet. Not planning to buy it unless I need it for the ship, which might still be a long way away as still upgrading other factories. Taking so long to accumulate the coins for the upgrades.

Not 2 cacao beans, just 1 but still ridiculous. You can sell 1 bean for 1695 coins. Or you can spend 300 more coins and sell cacao powder for 1200. You lose time and several hundreds coins with every transaction. Who in their right mind would do it? I'll tell ya.
This is a VIP item. Also, cacao powder is going to be a new contest item, for the most adventurous. And you just wait for a "wonderful opportunity to build XYZ for 99 eclairs and 128 cacao powder."

    Ah yes, only 1.

Anyway, it has now disappeared from my Mill.

Not really. If I am going to order ONE item and collect profit in one hour, I will order a cookie, not a muffin. I can sell muffin for 1495 and cookie for 2035. Cookie wins. That was my point. The best illustration is overnight production: you order cacao, not grain, meat, not milk, books, not poly. Value-add has nothing to do with this strategy.

Are you sure? I still have it.

I agree. Since most of my days include 8-10 hours at work and 6-8 hours sleeping, I've focused my production around items that take 3-6 hours, since they generally have higher net profit.
