The Sudoku craze has swept the world for nearly half a decade, yet some people still haven’t tried this fun, addictive, and brain exercising game.

Sudoku is a simple but ingenious number game that just requires you to be able to count to 9. No need for fancy math skills, or even basic mathematics. The fundamental rule is that every row, column or 3x3 box must contain the numbers 1 to 9 with no repeats. The game is played on a 9 by 9 grid, with 9 3 by 3 sub grids.

To start the game off some of the squares are already filled in. The number and position of the prefilled squares determine the difficulty of the puzzle, and often lead to only one possible solution.

Easy puzzles can be solved with a rather obvious step by step elimination of possible numbers, while harder puzzles require the player to develop different strategies to avoid random trial and error, which could result in a dead end down the line.

I'm still using the two Mighty Mighty Good Games versions of sudoku for the iPhoone. Too many of the iPad sudoku games have distracting backgrounds and graphics which distract from the game.

That said I'll check this one out.
