Anyone else playing that? I've never played any of the Sim City games and am completely lost! UGH!! Any help would be appreciated. Maybe sites to check out of how to play. I'm looking now too!
Thanks.

Got it last night, pretty much the same as any other sim city. There is a tutorial mode, did u try that?
Try youtube videos...Sim City can get pretty complex
Any specific questions? I've loved SimCity since Playstation 1. Was really excited when I saw it on iPad.
anyone knows how to attract hi-tech industries? i kept getting that from petitioner but i think i've done everything i can to induce them . i.e. built mass transit, built parks, upgraded all industrial zone to high density, built firestation and police station in good coverage, shools and colleges built, high funding in education, and full ordinances of clean industries and high-tech industries .
Hmmm I haven't had a lot of success in that myself, but have you tried clearing out some of your older industry to see whether high tech takes its place?
Also, I have a question - has anyone figured out how to get 3x3 residential snd commercial buildings to develop without under-utilized areas (eg residential gardens) appearing around them? And does anyone know if you can build 4x4 res or comm buildings in this version?
Hi guys, I’ve just registered to this forum but have been playing SimCity for a long time and was looking for a forum for the iPad version
It’s actually pretty easy to attract high tech industry.
From my experience, land value doesn’t have a massive impact.
The key things I have found that effect development of high-tech are;
Ordinances
Education
Police/Fire
Enact the following ordinances;
Public Access Cable
Biotech Tax Incentives
Electronics Job Far
Electronics Tax Incentives
Clean Industry Association
Tourist Promotion
I also have passed the Industrial Pollutant Impact Fee and Conservation Corps but I’m not sure how much baring they have on it.
Obviously, for hi-tech to develop you need a high level of education.
Always make sure your schools/colleges have an A rating. This is easy – simply have enough school and colleges to cover the amount of students. Perhaps increase funding to 105% also.
Include Library’s, also with an A rating. I’m not sure how much effect Museums have but education is key.
And have good fire/police coverage and you will definitely get hi-tech.
Here are a couple of pics of some hi tech in a recent city
Also regarding the 3x3 res buildings someone asked .... you can see some very nice high res buildings in the middling of the last picture. From what I've seen so far in the game these are the best res building you can get in this version... haven't really experimented much with 4x4 but don't think there is any.
Those buildings you can see will only develop when you have very high or astronomical land value.
LV will increase over time but the main factors to increase it are water, parks and police/fire coverage.
Oh and Marina's i believe are the best for increasing LV
Hope I've helped.
