You download the rental movie from iTunes so you can watch it offline,such as on a plane trip. Once downloaded you have up to 30 days to start watching the movie. If you don't watch the movie,it automatically deletes itself after the 30 day period expires.Once you start watching,you have 24 hours to finish(48 hours outside the US). At the expiration of 24 hours(48 hours outside the US),the movie is automatically deleted.
