I'm looking at this from the reverse. I have an unlimited data plan from AT&T (from my 3yo iPhone). Since its unlimited, would there be any possibility of using the SIM from my iPhone and trimming it down to use in the iPad, to use my 3G unlimited download?

Almost everywhere else I have looked people are looking to do the revers....

it will work, however the question is, will AT&T block it.
AT&T already has said they will block iphone 4 miro sims from working in the iPad.


I say go for it and see if it works. You can always just purchase a mirosim to regular simcard adapter to using it in the iphone afterward.

I trimmed down a t-mobile simcard and got it working in the ipad. Just make sure you dont cut any of the metal chip and you will be fine. I cut mine with a dremal tool.
