hi my name is jan and im new in this forum i have just bought a ipad 2 and as of yet i have no anti virus on it could u please help me which one can i get i would like a free one as i am a pensioner thanks for u help

Hi Jan, as it stands you don't need an antivirus, not yet anyway. The way iOS is designed is that all apps are sandboxed so that if an app did get a virus it couldn't be transferred through the system to the iOS or other apps.

Hang around these forums, if there does come a day that an antivirus app is required you will hear about it here first.

U don't need an AV for APPLE products..maybe for the Mac only..

There are a couple of sites thak could verify files online, but you do not need AV software for ipad. But you can submit suspicious file from PC or Mac
