    Dictionary function on ipad/ibook

If your reading on your ipad and you come accross a word that you don't know can you touch it and then have the dictionary meaning flash on your screen?

This would be a great feature to have! Especially if it also speaks the word for proper enunciation.

As an Amazon Kindle owner I know that the Kindle does this. You have to move the cursor using the joystick to the word you want the meaning of and it automatically gives you the definition. If text to speech is enabled then you get to hear everything.

Would come in very handy for the ipad.

    Best Wishes!

Just saw a video from the late night Jimmy Fallon show with a demo of the iPad and the iBook. It appears to have a dictionary function the same as the Kindle.

Got to the iBooks demo on the Apple site. You see the demonstration at some point. The demonstrator puts her finger over a word and leaves it there until a definition box opens. Same thing in the Pages software too.
