if you have a mac organize all your photo's in the iPhoto app on your mac. This is super easy and the program is great. Then on the make itunes will sync all your photos and everything how your have it in iphoto. use iPhoto to create your albums and everything and also to mark faces in photo's.
I did it, don't know how it happened, but I deleted all my photos from the computer after synch them on the ipad....Is there any way of moving them back from the ipad back into the computer? The guys at the Apple Store told me I just need to import them from iphoto, like you do from a camera, but it doesn't seem to work. Help!!!!!
Hey Matt - just saying THANK YOU for taking the time to create that great walk-through. Found this link through a Google search and it answered my questions perfectly! I'm new to iPad and to Mac, so am excited to have found this forum. I also got MobileMe when I got the iPad, so I am sure there is someway I could update my galleries electronically ... I just haven't made it that far yet.At this point, I'm just tickled to see why images (sorted by folder, thank you!) Mucho thanks!

Glad that you were able to find it
And welcome to the forum.
I discovered Private Media Folders HD (paid app) which allows creation of internal folders within it. So once I've studied you post a little more (very well done, too) I'll relegate PMFHD solely for the "for my eyes only" collections if you get my drift . . .
Hi Matt,
thanks for the tips. I have unique problem.
I selected to sync some of the subfolders from "My Pictures" folder. The sync was smooth.
Now, I added another subfolder with new photos to "My Pictures" folder.
Surprisingly, Itunes does not show this new subfolder in the list so I am not able to select to sync it.
Do you have the same problem? Whats the answer.
Please help.
Thanks.
All this actually means that the camera connection kit is pretty useles for two reasons:
1 you cannot rename the folder called all imported, so every time you connect the camera it is going to put the new pictures into that folder. Also the folder is not visible from itunes so you cant rename it from there.
2 The pictures on the ipad do not seem transferrable to the pc, if the pictures were downloaded directly into the ipad using the camera connection kit.
