looking to develop ipad apps

This is a discussion on looking to develop ipad apps within the iPad Development forums, part of the iPad App Store category; i just bought a developer license from apple for $99 how do i install it? thanks love ejonesss...

    got licensed from apple to develop ios ipad2

    i just bought a developer license from apple for $99

    how do i install it?

    The short answer is you need to download XCode and install it on a Mac. There is a link to it in the previous, um, link.

    i got the xcode installed it was the udid activation part i needed to install

    not yet i think the process may not be automated or the automation takes a vacation too and it will probably be at least 1/2/2012 before they can get to processing purchases.


    also does the idevice periodically phone home to the developers at apple to check the activation status?

    No idea. Hopefully one of the 'real' developer's here will chime in. I'm just fooling with the free side of things.

    install xCode 4, then open Organizer in xCode (Shift+Command+2),select "Devices" tap, connect your ipad, wait for the device to show up in the list on the left. Right-click on the device and choose "Add device to provisioning portal". Wait till xCode finishes preparing keys and profiles.
