I don't know of any apps for the iPad that can read .rdl files, and I couldn't find any in the App Store. You're best bet is to convert them to PDF documents. If you only need to display the final report on the iPad, there are many apps that will display PDF files.

    Otherwise, I'm afraid I can't help. Sorry.

There is no way to do it on the iPad. The XML apps I could find were for viewing XML as text and editing it. No viewing or converting options.

A quick Google search left me quite humble. I don't know enough to even make a good suggestion on where to start looking for a Windows or OSX program.

    Sorry.

GoodReader can view a downloaded html file. It won't handle external links to images, but it will display the basic layout and text contained in the file. I think a couple of the other browsers are able to view downloaded html files, and certainly web archives, but I've never tested them. iCab Mobile is the most likely candidate.

It would probably be easier to put your html on a web page and view it there in a browser, but I suspect that is also not an option.

If you wanted to tell us what you are trying to accomplish, result wise, someone else here might have an alternate solution that will get results, if not exactly the way you expect.

When I was trying to find something that looked like a viable XML to HTML converter, I saw several mentions of XML to csv conversion. You could import a csv file to any number of spreadsheet programs for viewing. Again, I can't recommend a program, but that looked much more promising than the HTML conversion.

Ok, the csv conversion set off an idea and another searach. Strangely enough, instead I discovered an iPad app that will convert XML to HTML. Go figure.

It's called XSLT, and has almost no reviews. A glance at the screen shots suggests it can view the resulting HTML file. It's cheap, so it might be worth trying, or you can try contacting the developer and ask a few questions.

On the other hand, the app FlowOnTheGo promises to view some types of XML files (DITA). Again, no reviews, but it is free.

I don't know why I missed these on the first pass, but maybe that helps a bit.

Over my head. You might have more luck in the Hacker or Developer forum.

I'm still trying to get my head around lesson four of the Stanford University course in iTunes U; "Developing Apps for iOS". I've been stuck on it for months, but that may be because I've been putting off watching it again for months.

But now that I know you are developing an app:

I ran across this site while looking for a converter, but since it is more of a lesson on how to do the conversion via styles in a webpage, I ignored it. Now it looks like it might be of some use to you.
