We picked up a Dell 1350cnw laser printer. I can print via my windows based laptop but when I try to print from my Ipad, it cancels the job. The printer seems to be the culprit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have downloaded several "Test" apps in an attempt to make it work. No luck.

From the Ipads perspective..the job is sent and should have printed....the printers screen and log has "Job Cancelled" in it.

I don't know if this is going to help you or not, but my Dell 966 (wireless) printer was found to be incompatible with Apple. Period

I have learned that it seems incompatible with ANY mobile device. Cannot get my Droid based phone to work either.

Darn You may have already considered this, and there may be a better program/app to get it done, but I use one called "Print and Share" to print with my Dell wirelessly from my iDevices.

Just bought the wife a MacBook Air...during the set up of that...Something started working...Everything prints now...maybe the printer itself got an update...But oddly enough..everything works...Wish I could tell you why....But at least its working.

I think that you will find that if the new Mac is off/sleeping the printer will not work from the iPad. I think the iPad is using the new Mac as a client to the printer, but who cares, as long as stuff is working......however......if things stop working, at least you may now have a clue as to why that might be.
