About LinkBacksSplashtop absolutely works great for me.
Does anyone know how much bandwidth is uses or how to calculate it? I would like to know what the amount of data usage would be logging in using a 3G connection with my IPAD connecting to my home computer using splashtop and do some work on it.
I want to find out what type of 3G databundle or subscription I need to choose. I know, get the unlimited one but those are pretty expensive over here in The Netherlands :-)
Any insights on this would help, thanks in advance!

Download a bandwidth monitoring tool and run that while you are connected. It will give you all the information you need.

Another way...
'Settings', 'General', 'Usage', 'Cellular Data', 'Reset Statistics'.
Then you could use Splashtop for a while and return and see how much data had been used.

I didn't know that existed. I have a wifi model which has nothing similar for networking.
