Hi Phil. Thanks for the tips. I have not tried adjusting brightness in both iPad and application. I'll give that a try and see if it helps.
Thanks,
Dave

DaveMurf, just curious if you are wearing polarized glasses in the cockpit. I use polarized lenses and some of our mfd screens are visible and some aren't. I haven't had an issue with being able to see my ipad screen but I do fly in the northwest where the word sun doesn't exist![]()

I never had an issue with polarized glasses until I started flying the G-1000 equipped airplanes. Funny cause I wanted an iPad for the same reason, to use Foreflight, then I started flying the G-1000 which then made the use of an iPad obsolete. Oh well, I have found plenty of things to do with my iPads now.
iPhone 4s 64GB White (Jailbroken), The "New iPad" 16GB Black (Stock), Past devices: iPad 2, HTC Hero, HTC Evo, HTC Evo 3D, ASUS Transformer.
I too bought an IPAD to use in the cockpit. Today I used it for the first time. I used a ram yoke mount and it did not blockmy panel, but the glare was so bad that I could not see anything on the IPAD. Has anyone found a cure for this.thanks.
Zagg makes a screen protector with anti- glare. It works very well.Originally Posted by Pa280
Did you actually test it on your iPAD in your plane while flying? Reason I'm being specific is because these things are rather pricy and it can get a bit expensive to buy another screen protector only to find out it doesn't work any better in the cockpit than the previous one. There's a big difference with what I can see on my iPAD while sitting on my patio deck under my awning and what I can see in the cockpit.
