App for reading pdf files ?

I always have a lot of material that I have to read to stay current on legal developments (yes, I'm an attorney). Many of these documents are already in pdf and the rest I can scan to pdf. I can then load them to my iPad2 and read without carrying around a lot of paper.

What would you all recommend as a good app for this ?

    Bob

iBooks, if you only want to view

Goodreader, if you'd like to make notes on PDF.

There are other apps out there, these 2 seem to work good tho...

Goodreader for sure. Sync your documents with Honeysync/Dropbox/whatever within Goodreader. Make annotations, which are a joy to use in Goodreader, provided you have the patience to wait a fraction of a second for menus to pop up (sometimes I do not). Your annotationed copy will be created in your Dropbox folder, or you can annotate directly on the file (the annotations look really good, quite professional). You can flatten then PDFs with annotations if you like and email them to clients or whatever, or make notes just for yourself.

iBooks is a little more slick for reading, but I find that sometimes iBooks brings up blank PDF files for some reason, and you can't sync it to your Sugarsync folder on your desktop/iphone/team members desktop (all at once, collaborative like).

It's hard to overstate how good Goodreader is.

    Thank you very much.

Goodreader looks like the one to get.

I have been using IAnnotate PDF and have been pleased with the syncing capabilities as well as the range of annotations and ease of use - Have not tried GooReader and would like to hear from anyone who has used both to compare.
