I've not used DropBox but MobileMe works just fine..no problems at all

I prefer 1Password. It has far more options. More importantly, you can't access and edit the password list on the ipad the way you can on the Mac.
No reason you can't use both though. Turning on the Username Password funtion in Safari lets you auto enter stuff from you webites you've visited before. I'm pretty sure that is part of what syncs with MobileMe if you've got it turned on.

Can you sync iPassword from iPhone to iPad

Yes it syncs across all of your devices. My 60 day trial ended, so I cancelled and went with google, evernote and dropbox. they are all better at what they do. Find my iPhone is cool and free.
