I updated my IPAD from 3.2.x to 4.2.1 and now when I go to the "Videos" app my catalog won't come up. I had to go resyn my iPAD to get it to work the last time. If my iPad locks then its SOL for getting back to the video I was watching.

Is there any way to hard reset the app? I've tried power down and restart but that isn't helping.

Soft reset. Hold down the home and power button until the Apple logo appears. This should take 15 to 20 seconds. When the logo appears let go and wait for the reboot. Might take a minute or two.

This is the most complete reset you get without restoring it via iTunes, which will take it back to it's factory settings. If you do that make sure you've got all your data backed up.

Thanks for the help, hoping to not have to go that far. Is anyone else experiencing issues like this with core features of IOS flaking out? Is there any way to restart a process per say like you would on a MAC/PC? I find that connecting the iPAD to iTunes clears it up for a minute but want a longer term solution if possible. Is 4.2 just bad and should I have waited longer....for sp1?
