Sure they can. It's called providing an OPTION. Silly, huh?

AGREED! And I think that Mr. Jobs is going to have to realize that sooner or later. He allows owners of the brand new MacAirBook decide for themselves whether or not to install Flash, WHY should an iPad be any different? WE own it after all... it should be the decision of the owner, not the manufacturer, of the iPad that decides what is installed.

Well ~ I guess if Apple wanted flash on the iPad.....
Shouldn't the focus be on what the CUSTOMERS want on the iPad, not what APPLE wants on them?

I guess a lot of folks didn't care. How many iPads have been sold?

Why are you so angry? Buy something with a flash and chill out.

There are at least three different ways to do Flash on the iPad (SkyFire, Cloud Browse, using a VNC program into your desktio/laptop, none of which kill your battery iife as the heavy lifting is done away from your iPad.

The success of the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch means that Flash will be a non-issue soon anyway, no wen site in its right mind is going to ignore hundreds of millions of potential users. The only sites that still use Flash will be corporate sites that move very slowly, look at how many still use IE6.
